Every species has different nutritional needs — here's a quick reference for what matters most across the pets we carry.
Feed age-appropriate food (puppy/kitten, adult, senior) and avoid sudden diet switches, which can cause stomach upset. Introduce new food gradually over 5-7 days.
A pellet-based diet with fresh vegetables is more balanced than seed-only mixes. Avoid avocado, chocolate, caffeine and salty foods.
Hay-based diets for rabbits and guinea pigs, pellet mixes for hamsters and gerbils. Fresh water should always be available and checked daily.
Feed only what's eaten within 2-3 minutes, once or twice daily. Overfeeding is the leading cause of poor water quality in home aquariums.
When in doubt, underfeed slightly rather than overfeed — obesity is one of the most common preventable health issues across every species we carry.
